Kiel University of Applied Sciences builds on 130 years of tradition, and is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. The main campus is about 15 minutes from the city centre by bus or ferry and only minutes away from Kiel Bay. It has five large faculties in Kiel (Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Media, Social Work and Health, Business Management), while Agriculture is situated in Rendsburg (a city close to Kiel).
