    Conference Excursion:
    Visit to Ilhavo Maritime Museum.
    Ilhavo, 7 km from Aveiro is the capital town of the cod fishing in the North Atlantic.
    The museum shows the tough traditional fishing in rowing boats and includes a cod aquarium.
    A degustation of local sweets and wines will possibly be included there.

    A visit to Ilha dos Puxadoiros.
    Ilha dos Puxadoiros is a private project that includes traditional salt production, oyster and fish farms and salicornia (a plant used to salads) growing. It is in the middle of the lagoon and can be reached by traditional Moliceiro Boats)

  • Also:
    A collective Moliceiro boat trip by the Aveiro Channels can be arranged on any of the symposium days.
